Author Bio

Born in South Africa, raised in the green hills of Surrey, England, Michael R Harker is a budding writer of literary escapism. Before he turned his hand to prose, Michael received a BSc in Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method from the London School of Economics. Soon after, he traded his copy of Wittgenstein’s Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus for a microphone, and began an instantly forgettable career as a musician in London’s underground rock scene. So forgettable in fact, that he himself struggles to recall much of what occurred between 2010-2015.

This haze of obscurity began to fade when Michael decided to turn his passion for fermented grape juice into a profession – training as a Sommelier at the Wine Spirit and Education Trust before eventually trying his hand as a winemaker. When not picking grapes or cleaning barrels, Michael whiles away the hours writing fiction at home with his eternally patient wife, Lucy, and their dog, Odin.
